Hey - is it redundant to say that landscape design should be 'green'? It would seem obvious, but I am sure that what I don't know about responsible landscape design could fill a...well it could fill a rainwater harvesting barrel.
I don't think it matters if you never ever step outside with your client - I can't imagine that knowing more about smart plant choices, and smart irrigation wouldn't make you a better designer or architect.
